these are a couple of albums that have been in my ears awl day. check them out if you havent already, and/or need new music, or maybe just a reminder that these babies still exist.

i added a gazillion new necklaces to the shop today also. So check them out! I already sold two necklaces before they hit the store (look at the previous post), which happened to be two of my favorites. it's always sad for me to say goodbye to any of the necklaces when they are bought. it's bittersweet, but i know they will be going to good homes.

in other news, i've started my art history & drawing classes this past week. they are great, i must say. although they are both 3 and a half hours long which kind of doesnt rule but hey, whatever because i have a ma-a-a-jor crush on one of my teachers. is he going to find this? ohhh lawd. i have only had two drawing classes and I already feel like I've gotten a lot out of it.

Tonight is going to be girlfun, going to bobby's burger palace (yaa know..) and seeing Bruno. i'm already laughing.

one of my favorite bands for background music while i'm working is Coconut Records' new album Davy. It's so great, upbeat but not too in your face. I love every single song, and i'm a huge fan of the previous album Nighttiming.

If you didn't know already, Coconut Records is really just actor Jason Schwartzman. He recorded Nighttiming within a very short period of time and asked his famous friends to contribute. So if you listen closely you can hear the voices of Kirsten Dunst and Zooey Deschanel in the background one most of the songs. All of his tunes are happy and interesting, which is a nice break from a lot of the occasionally dull and simple music that sometimes takes over my life. I would love for him to tour! Maybe one day.

A couple weeks ago, Coconut Records released the music video for the song "Any Fun", which is one of my favorite songs on the record. The video definitley did not disappoint, with cameos from Chloe Sevigny, Jason himself, and pro skateboarder Alex Olsen. I'm a sucker for black & white filming and for Chloe and for this song so let's just say I approve.

ALSO: I spent the afternoon editing photos of new items for the shop. They should be up by this time tomorrow ! I'm so excited to 'debut' these necklaces. I will post on here once they are available on Etsy!

this past week, i've been staying at my beach house on long beach island with my family. it was really so fun, but i'm glad to be back to finish up the summer with my two classes & get started on work again. the other day i was flipping through the latest InStyle and came across this photo from a spread that Marion Cotillard did and fell in love with this beautiful, perfect outfit. It's a long lycra black dress with a beaded vintage belt.
