joining the list of bands that i've been fortunate enough to see since moving down south (ben kweller, wilco, joanna newsom, etc.) , is Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes. totally one of the best shows i have ever seen. if you ever have the opportunity to see them live, PLEASE do it. they are just not even real humans. so talented, so much energy, and to top it off, the music sounded better live than any recording. they're a 2010 version of the manson family, except subtract the murder and add fantastic musical talent.

the band members just seem so...happy. is that a california thing? california people are always so spacey and happy. that just doesn't exist in new jersey (not h8in on that though). the female singer Jade's voice is so large and soulful. it almost doesn't match her zoning out little girl appearance but it all works. i can't rave about them enough.

what a nice sunday night. what a nice year. yep. it's almost a year since i've moved here. august will be my anniversary with this little city. i love you, savannah.
